The side profile remains relatively unchanged save for new alloy wheels that look masculine. Like the front, the rear end also features a big chrome slat running across from one end to the other. The facelift is offered in two new colours, namely, Copper Brown Mica and Dark Blue Mica. The cabin remains unchanged as well but for a few changes made on the centre console, genuine semi aniline leather seats, a new TFT LCD 4.2-inch touchscreen unit and the addition of a new brown hue interior shade.
On the safety front, the SUV features ‘Safety Sense P’ including the likes of Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection, Automatic High Beam, Lane Departure Alert, Radar Cruise Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 200 facelift also gets a camera to view under the vehicle for checking the position of all four wheels while off-roading. It is powered by a 4.6-litre V8 petrol engine that churns out 318 PS at 5600 RPM and 460 Nm of torque at 3400 RPM. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the vehicle returns 6.4 km/l. The 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser has been priced at approximately Rs. 24 lakhs in Japan and will cost around Rs. 1.7 crores when launched in our country via the CBU route.
