The interior gets more changes as compared to the outside. First is an all-new dashboard design that has directly been picked up from the CLA sedan and GLA SUV. Materials and colour options for the interior trim has been updated as well. Then there is a new three-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls and an optional 8-inch infotainment system that gets smartphone connectivity and in-built navigation. The cabin now looks more pleasing due to new ambient lighting that comes with a choice of 12 colours and 5 dimming options, other than a panoramic sunroof.

Though Mercedes has given the A-Class facelift new engine options for the international markets, it continues to be powered by the same 1.6-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine in our country. Power is sent to the wheels through a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The petrol engine powering the A180 Sport offers 122 HP and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel engine powering the A200 Sport on the other hand offers 136 HP and 300 Nm. Performance wise, the Mercedes A180 can go from 0 km/hr to 100 km/hr in 8.6 seconds, while the Merc A200 can hit a top speed of 210 km/hr.
