2016 Kawasaki ZZR1400 officially revealed
Kawasaki has always been known to produce some of the best and fastest production sport and super bikes the world has ever seen. Latest of them being the H2, Kawasaki has pushed the envelope when it comes to offer sheer speed and performance one can want from anything on two wheels. The company has just unveiled the 2016 ZZR1400, which is considered as one of the fastest ever production bikes in the world.
To be available in two different variants, namely, ZZR1400 and ZZR1400 Performance Sports, Kawasaki has given the bike an all new instrument cluster whose display can be changed between the colours white and black. This helps in improving readability both in the day and night time. Other than that, the LED display now gets a new dot patterned background which gives it a different look than before.
Though power output of the ZZR1400 remains the same, the ECU has been given new settings and a modified evaporative exhaust unit in order to make the bike meet Euro 4 emission regulations. The higher variant, i.e., ZZR1400 Performance Sports has been fitted with an Ohlins TTX39 shock absorber at the rear and latest Brembo M50 monoblock brake calipers that comes with stainless steel brake lines and a Brembo radial-pump master cylinder. It also features an amazing Akrapovic silencer system.
Through it is called the ZZR1400 in international markets, the same bike is sold with the ZX-14R nameplate here in India. Capable of reaching triple digit speeds in less than 2.6 seconds, according to the company, it can go up to a top speed of 299 km/hr and this too is electronically limited. The ZX-14R derives a humungous 200 PS of power from its 1441cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine. The ZX-14R is priced at Rs. 16.8 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), locking horns with the very popular Suzuki Hayabusa.
