The next Kawasaki product to be updated is the highly respected Ninja ZX-10R. Currently powered by a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the company will be updating the bike next month at a media gathering in Barcelona. According to the company, the new model will derive heavy inspiration from the World Superbike Championship. The company has just released a teaser image of the upcoming bike showcasing a bit of the fuel tank, front cowl and front fairing as well.
Many of the additions expected on the new ZX-10R are latest suspension and electronic upgrades, in line with what rival brands like Ducati, Yamaha and BMW offer with their products. The brakes will be getting sharper thanks to the premium-grade braking system that comes with a cornering ABS unit.
Most of the changes will be made to the suspension only making the motorcycle much richer on the same front. Showa Big Piston Forks and a semi-active suspension feature will be offered on the 2016 Ninja ZX-10R, signifying that the company is looking to make the well-established model appeal to a broader audience.
Outputting a massive 200 PS of maximum power, the latest Kawasaki is expected to give its rivals something to think about. The design will also be becoming sportier and some characteristics might be borrowed from the futuristic looking H2. Till then all we can do is wait for bike to be unveiled officially and hope that the Ninja ZX-10R offers something much more special than the current model.
