2016 Hyundai Elantra facelift spotted testing in the US; Interiors are a big let down
Hyundai`s D-segment trump card, the Elantra has been spotted testing in the US. The 2016 Elantra facelift was caught testing with heavy camouflage.
While not much can be made out since the car is under disguise, we can tell that the 2016 Hyundai Elantra will gets sleeker headlights, sporty and coupe like roofline, smaller grille and a sloping greenhouse at the rear.
The fluidic curves which Hyundai cars are known for seems to have been toned down a bit on the facelift version. The sporty exterior styling doesn`t get carried to the interiors and the cabin has a very basic look and feel. The car gets a new three spoke steering wheel, new dashboard and brushed silver accents. There is also a new infotainment system which looks basic.
As reported by Worldcarfans.com which is the source of this article, the facelifted Elantra will be equipped with a 1.6 litre 4-cylinder gasoline motor that forks out 177bhp of peak power and 264Nm of twisting force.
Recently Hyundai launched the 2015 Elantra in India with a few cosmetic updates and an enhanced feature list. You can view the pictures and details here.
