2016 Hero Super Splendor iSmart 125cc (i3S) slated to be unveiled at 13th Auto Expo
Hero is expected to display the 2016 version of Super Spelndor iSmart 125cc (i3S) at the 2016 Auto Expo starting from February 5th 2016. The bike will go on sale in the domestic market post its unveiling at the Expo. Expected to be priced at Rs. 57,000, the auto maker claims a high fuel economy of 90 kmpl for the bike, hence offering low ownership cost than any other two-wheeler in its respective division.
Deriving power from the 125cc, single cylinder, air-cooled, 4 stroke i3S engine, the bike will come equipped with features like kick start, self-start ignition, multi wet plate clutch and tubular double cradle chassis. The single cylinder engine will feature start stop technology and will generate max power of 9.12 PS at 7000 RPM along with peak torque of 10.35 Nm at 4000 RPM. A four-speed transmission will be paired to the engine. Suspension set up will include telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers in front and swing arm with 5 step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
Other prominent external changes comprise of new side panels, redesigned fuel tank, three-pod instrument cluster wearing the i3 badge and Hero badge on split grab handles. HeroMoto Corp is expected to showcase few other new offerings at the 13th edition of Auto Expo like the Hero HX250 R, Hero Hatsur and Hero ZIR 150.
