2016 Geneva Motor Show: SsangYong unveils SIV-2 concept
SSangYong is a brand owned by Mahindra & Mahindra, known for its bulky and aggressive looking SUV’s worldwide. Recently, this Korean automaker unveiled its all-new concept, the new SIV-2 at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. The SIV-2 is expected to be a mid-size SUV which will be slotted above the SSangYong Tivoli as far as the pricing is concerned.
Most probably this SUV would be replacing the SSangYong Rexton in the Indian automotive market post its launch. The new SIV-2 is based on the same design as its predecessor the SIV-1. The slim and sharply detailed headlamps, a sleek front grille and a bold muscular front look adds to the sporty and aggressive appeal of the SUV, which makes it look quite distinct.
As far as the heart of the car is concerned, the SsangYong SIV-2 would boast a hybrid power plant that would include a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine along with a hybrid powertrain. As far as the looks and features of this car go, the SIV-2 is definitely a car to be looked forward too. The SIV-2 is expected to hit the markets in the upcoming year.
