2016 Audi A4 caught testing on Indian roads
The 2016 Audi A4 was spied testing on Indian roads. The new A4 is set for its international debut later this year. Most people believe it will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Moto show. The A4 caught testing was well clad in stealth clothing, but a few things were revealed. The sedan has a reworked front fascia. New headlamp cluster with daytime running LED’s and projector headlamps. The front grille also seems to have been reworked. The front bumper also looks sharper, giving the front end of the vehicle an aggressive stance.
The rear end gets a reworked taillight setup, similar to the one on the A3. The boot lid spoiler is a good added touch, and gives the car a sportier feel. The rear bumper too is different from the outgoing model, and looks impressive.
The MLB Evo platform has help put the 2016 A4 on a crash diet, and the car is about a 100 kgs lighter than the previous model. The engine placement has also been changed, with the new one making the weight balance distribution even better.
Consumers will have a plethora of options to choose from. The petrol variant will get the 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 TSI engine options, while the diesel version will get a 1.6 and 2.0 turbocharged engine. The 3.0 V6 beastly engines will also be on offer in a few select markets.
