2015 TVS Phoenix 125 launched in India, Priced at INR 54,819
TVS Motor Company, the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India took everyone by surprise by silently launching a refreshed version of their Phoenix 125 motorcycle in the country. The Phoenix 125 has been launched at a price of Rs. 54,819 (drum variant) and Rs. 57,422 (front disc trim) (all prices, Ex-showroom, Mumbai).
TVS first launched its Phoenix 125 model back in October 2012 and since then; no facelift model has been introduced. Hence, TVS has now launched the updated model with six new color options in total. With this, TVS has also added new tank scoops along with its 3D logo. The comprehensive digital meter, long visor as well as the DC electrical lighting system and LED pilot lamps are some of the interesting changes on the 2015 TVS Phoenix 125 motorcycle.
There is one interesting feature available on the updated Phoenix 125 motorcycle, it is the button on the key fob which activates the vehicle locator function and switches on the hazard lamps. The button helps one to locate their vehicle in crowded parking places where searching for your vehicle becomes a tedious task. Gas charged rear shock absorbers and red piping along the seat covers are also some of the changes.
There have been no changes made to the bike’s power plant and hence, the company has powered the Phoenix 125 with the same 125 cc engine churning out 11 PS of power and 10.8 NM of torque mated to a 4-speed transmission unit. The company claims that the bike can deliver a fuel efficiency of around 67 kmpl. The front petal disc brake as an option is also offered on this facelift model.
The refreshed TVS Phoenix 125 will fight it out with the Hero Glamour, Bajaj Discover 125M and the Honda CB Shine.
