2015 Ford Mondeo Vignale unveiled
Ford, the American multinational auto manufacturer revealed its luxurious car model for the European buyers. The company had introduced the concept model of the Vignale at the 2014 Frankfurt Motor Show but recently unveiled the first member of the lineup in the name of Mondeo Vignale.
The Ford Mondeo Vignale specs reveal that this model is the most powerful one in the Mondeo range and is available in all three variants- petrol, diesel as well as a hybrid version. Ford has offered the vehicle in the form of a saloon and an estate. While its petrol variant will be powered by a 2-litre EcoBoost engine churning out 237 bhp of power, its diesel version will be offered with two engine options – 2.0-litre oil burners producing around 178 bhp and 207 bhp of power, respectively. Its petrol-electric hybrid version, on the other hand, is available only with the saloon option and will be powered by a 2.0-litre engine.
To make the Mondeo Vignale look unique than any other car in the Mondeo range, Ford has also installed an exclusive looking upper grille with a dark matte and metallic finish hexagonal design. Other interesting and appealing exteriors bits come in the form of high-glossy lower grille, chrome bars, chrome door details, high-gloss finish pillars and door mirrors sails along with Vignale 18-inch wheels. Based on Ford’s Titanium X trim, the company has loaded the Mondeo Vignale model with many premium features like Pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, Active Noise Cancellation system on its diesel variant, Traffic Sign Recognition, Active City Stop and the SYN2 infotainment system. To add to this, the special smartphone app is also available for the users to access GPS-enabled Vignale Park Me and Vignale One Call app on the move.
Apart from this, Ford has equipped the model with features like LED adaptive headlight, heated steering wheel, powered tailgate, 12-speaker sound system and rear parking sensors camera.
Despite the 2015 Ford Mondeo Vignale`s high level of sophistication Ford will showcase more customizations options for the car in May. The options would be mainly cosmetic (interior and exterior) is what Ford’s European marketing, sales and service chief, Roelant de Waard had to say.
