2014 Fiat Punto Evo to be launched in India on 5th August
Fiat has been trying hard to get back in the game by opening new dealerships and launching new models. The next big launch from Fiat India is the 2014 Punto Evo. The Italian car maker will be launching the Punto Evo on August 5th 2014 in India. The Punto Evo is a lot different from the outgoing model and comes with an extensive facelift that makes it look even more gorgeous.
The changes to the exterior are in the form of a new grille, swept back headlights, and chrome fog lamp enclosures. Fiat has done its bit by adding lots of chrome to the front facia to make it look more up-market. The Punto Evo comes with dual tone black and beige interiors and a new set of 15 inch alloy wheels. The sport variant gets an all-black interior and 16-inch sporty alloy wheels to give it the much needed sporty look.
Fiat has refreshed the interiors and the 2014 Punto Evo gets a new dashboard just like the one in the 2014 Linea. Fiat has packed the Punto Evo with best in class features like Bluetooth connectivity, automatic door lock, electrically adjustable ORVMs, multi-function steering wheel, automatic door lock and voice command system. On the safety front the Punto Evo gets FPS (fire prevention system) which is standard on all models, while ABS and EBD is available only in the top variants.
Mechanically there is no change to the Punto Evo. Engines options include the 1.2 and 1.4 litre petrol motors while the 1.3 multijet is available in two states of tune – 75PS powering the regular variant while the sport variant gets the 93PS version. We will have to wait and see how Fiat prices the 2104 Punto Evo.
